Annnnnd, I’m back! Hopefully, maybe, I think so. So, a few of my friends have asked me if I have given up on this blog. I haven’t given up, but I certainly have put it last on my very long to do list. Us moms do that, don’t we? We put everyone and everything ahead of ourselves. I don’t say that in a whiny way, because honestly, I couldn’t be happier or more aware that these are some of the best days of my life with my 3 little kids. Yes, they drain my emotional and physical strength just about every day, but I also know that I have never been more needed or loved or more tired!
And when I need a little pick me up to keep going with all the play, cleaning, chores, or whatever else life throws at us, I turn to my Keurig Rivo. I seriously love this thing, like more than someone should probably love their household appliances.
This machine make cappucinos, lattes, and iced lattes. What sets this machine apart from say, Nespresso machines, is the fact that I can use any milk. I am lactose intolerant so I need a machine that I can use my lactose free milk or even almond milk. I’m not actually a huge fan of other Keurig models, I can never get the coffee to taste fresh or bold enough, but this is different to me in a good way.
You have to purchase the Rivo espresso pods specifically for this machine, which are smaller than the usual K-cups. I have found them on Amazon, the Keurig website, and in store at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Here’s a link:
Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Starbucks, but I actually have found that I like this even more. It tastes similar, I can choose the milk (the lactose free milk actually froths like regular milk, something that almond milk just can’t do), and one of the biggest pros… the price. Those $5 lattes from Starbucks can really add up quick.
I actually received this as a gift 2 years ago and it’s been one of my most favorite things. It does require some cleaning about once a month, but it’s really simple and quick.
Now, as far as the future of my blog… I hope to start back up with writing again. Writing has always been something I enjoy, but not something I always share. New year, new goals! (and more coffee!)
What new goals are you setting for yourself in 2018?
